I had an appointment this morning in downtown Orlando. Perfect opportunity to fit a little thrifting in my day. First stop was theCommunity Food & Outreach Center. I was pleasantly surprised today at my visit. This store is showing great improvement from my last visit. Today I found it to be clean and neatly organized. The store has been stocked with both new and used items. A large selection of school supplies, such as paper, pens, high end calculators, clothes, shoes, some furniture and household supplies were available at affordable prices. Community Food & Outreach Center 150 W. Michigan St. Orlando, Fl 32806 Open 9am-6pm M-Sat. All money raised here, helps supplement this crisis' center outreach programs. My next stop was the Salvation Army Thrift Store, on Colonial Drive. Today I was excited to find some wonderful little dessert glasses. They were vintage, with etchings in different designs, too cute!!! Definitely not a matching set, but probably someones collection.
I loved them, but no price...ugh I hate that. I asked an employee, who was so helpful to try and find a price for me. But to no avail... we were told by the assistant manager, that if they are not individually priced then they come from a set. So I have to look for the remainder of the set to find a price??? Well two employees and I looked for the remainder of the set that did not exist. So, no pretty little dessert glasses for me today ... Salvation Army Thrift Store, had an unhappy customer today...hope they work on this policy. They have some great items sitting on their shelves that couldn't be bought :(
