I don't know what it is about old things. I just find them so interesting. From pieces of furniture, to vintage jewelry to old houses there is just something that catches my eye. Recently I stopped by Antiques & Uniques in Ocoee. They had an unusual selection of old medical/pharmacy items. Have a look. I thought what an odd lot of things to collect, but I know there is a collector out there that would love them. Perhaps a doctor, nurse or pharmacist?? This would be a great selection to post on Ebay. If your like me and enjoy vintage items, then Antiques & Uniques is the store for you. Click on their page above for directions.

I love that this store is owned by a Mother Daughter duo. The owners are Beth Ann & Kelly Lauren Page. It's so inspiring to see women entrepreneurs. Their motto is "If It's Not Brand New, It's Brand Name" I'm excited with this store. I see great things ahead for them. The store is fresh and young. It offers a beautiful selection of items. Such as handcrafted jewelry. Jewelry from the Tuscan Arizona Gem Show, Teenage Accessories, New Sunglasses and Belts. Not to mention named brand clothes and purses. They also have home decor items, such as handpainted artwork... The ladies will even be adding a furniture room soon. Kelly & Beth do a great job at putting outfits together. I love how they hang them on the wall with matching accessories. Have a look at some of their accessories....... This bracelet has so much detail....it would make a wonderful gift. This bracelet goes perfect with these boots. Huge selection of new belts and new sunglasses. These necklaces were my favorite! I hope you will stop by and say hello to Beth & Kelly at "And Everything Under The Sun" Their store is open Monday - Saturday, 10am -6pm To see more pictures of my visit click here on their homepage.
This store is growing by the day. Be sure to stay tuned. Hello everyone...with Spring just around the corner I am getting so excited. I know the paper will be filled with all kinds of exciting Spring events. I can't wait. Yesterday I went to The Vintage View in Clermont...They have so many wonderful collectibles. Every Sunday they have a Farmer's market in front of the store. I plan to attend this weekend. I think I'll try to capture some pictures for the Magazine. Remember to carry your camera when out thrifting. Take some pictures and write me a short note telling me about your day....It just might be in the magazine. The Vintage View has a great selection of decanters. You can even find a gorgeous tray to place them upon. If you collect tea cups, you are sure to find one you love. As you enter the store there are two huge shelves full of tea cups. You will even find more as you wonder the store. Remember Farmer's Market, at The Vintage View this Sunday. Hope to see you there! Note: A new store opened in the Ocoee area. It's called Thrift Stop. It's a resale clothing store. They also sale shoes, purses and accessories. Their prices were affordable. Sorry no pictures yet. Maybe soon, need to speak with owner first.
I will start off today by saying WOW! "Not So Shabby" located at 2534 S. Maguire Road in Ocoee is a store to see. It is sure to become a favorite. The owner Trish McGuiness is a true entrepreneur. Her positive spirit is so refreshing. She began her retail business in a garage in New Hampshire, then to the Art District outside of Boston. Now fortunately for us Central Floridians, she is here in Ocoee. I think this coffee table below is great. It should definitely be in my living room. I am not sure if the top is marble, but it has that look. It is creatively displayed with valentine gifts. ![]() This large hutch has a mirrored back. It is displayed with an assortment of milk glass. ![]() I just had to take a picture of these little glass slippers. They are so special. What a unique valentine gift. Fill them with candy or flowers for the princess in your life. ![]() This colorful apron was once a dress. Fine example of the owner's repurposing skills. Recycled sweaters are transformed into purses and baby booties. ![]() Happy wall mural painted by the owner, Trish. Make plans to join me at NOT SO SHABBY on Saturday, Feb 6 from 10am to 5pm. NOT SO SHABBY will be having a SPRING INTO SPRING sidewalk sale. Light refreshments will be served. While visiting enter your name into a drawing for a SPRING GIFT BASKET. Today I visited "Antiques & Uniques". Located in Ocoee, right off Bluford Avenue, at 104 W. Mckey Street. The owners are very nice. The owner Robin said that she has been in business eleven years. She is very informative about the antiques. Her co-owner Carmen is fantastic at arranging items into creative displays. They are welcoming and willing to negotiate their prices Vintage 1950's table and chairs.
Terrific green sofa. The fabric and woodwork was beautiful. So Lovely! They have two of these. The woodwork in unbelievable. Carmen suggested using them as a wall hanging. What a great idea.
