The Covesville Store, Virginia

The Covesville Store located in Central Virginia on Route 29 between Charlottesville & Lovingston. The building is a 100-year-old structure that was originally a Cider Company & Country Store. It's a large rambling building with double wraparound porches in a country setting.

If the weather is nice, you'll generally find all kinds of antique & vintage furniture outside.  The porche & inside are full of antiques, primitives & decorative accessories. Don't forget to ramble upstairs too where you'll find more antiques & household items.  Be sure to keep an eye out for “red dots” on price tags.   These items have been reduced to $1.00 each.

If you can’t visit in person, shop their website at  www.Covesvillestore.com.

So Primitive...I love it!!!
The whole idea behind The Covesville Store is high volume with huge loads always coming & going. You'll see low prices on items that span the whole spectrum from $1.00 to $2,000.

While The Covesville Store is not a boutique where everything is polished & perfectly arranged, the experience is truly unique.  From the moment you drive up you'll feel that vintage charm.   From the huge porch filled with antiques, to the wooden floors that lead you throughout..... every nook and cranny filled with something from the past....  Oh I'm in heaven!!!

You will love historic downtown Clermont located  just a short distance from Orlando and the major attractions.  I just love the small town feel of this place.  If you are visiting the Central Florida areas be sure to put Clermont on your map.  It is packed with charm, great people and wonderful stores.  They are some of my favorites.

Not So Shabby
The owners Trish and Laura put together a beautiful store.  It is full of new items and gently used furniture and home decor.  They are always coming up with some new way to repurpose and recycle.  I've seen purses made from wool sweaters to her newest creation "Sock Fans"....

They sold out at Christmas...but a new group of Sock Fans
are back in time for Valentine's Day.

I hope you enjoy Not So Shabby.

Wow this was a long post...  I really am only touching the surface with shopping in the downtown historic Clermont area.  There are several more shops I stopped at today.  I'll be sure to photograph them on my next visit.  So be sure not to miss Flowers Finds on West Street.   There is a little diner on Montrose also a wine shop just in case you need a quick break...Have fun and tell them Kathy from Thrift Happy sent you!

My Central Florida Favorites

It's been a while since I've updated you on my favorite Central Florida stores.  I truly love these stores.  They each are inspiring  to me.
Picture
I love the blue paint color!

This is one of my favorite booths at Art Angels Arts & Antique Market, in Orlando.  This place is huge with many vendors.  I think back to just a year ago when I first visited the market.  At that time, they just were setting up and the warehouse was pretty empty.   They were just beginning to accept vendors.   But now it is full of individual booths...each expressing a different style.  I just love and look forward to my visits here.  There is always something at Art Angels that catches my eye.

These custom birdhouses would make a wonderful gift.

I think you will like this next item, a "Vintage Window Box".
How unique and creative.  They are made from vintage windows and reclaimed walls from old houses. The wall paper is still attached.
What a creative way to display your favorite collectibles.

Art Angels also has a full service florist.  They offer flower arrangements and gift baskets.  Nicole is always in the store.  She is so kind and willing to help you find that special item.   "So tell your hubby or special someone to visit Art Angels for Valentines Day" .... To see more of Art Angels visit their website.

Let me know how you like their website...
it was created by me :)
