What a wonderful day I had in Winter Haven! I stopped by Classic Collectables & Antiques, located downtown at the corner of West Central and Third Ave. What a wonderful store. As I entered, the owner, Bill Bowen greeted me with a friendly hello and make yourself at home. I was so surprised at how much there was to see. There was a huge collection of jewelry, collectables, vintage furniture and artwork. Have a look at my visit.......
This part of the store was my very favorite. There were so many unique antiques.
The amount of artwork in here was incredible.
There was so much vintage jewelry. Bill, the owner showed me this next tray. It was his latest find. Can you believe this turquoise collection! Absolutely Beautiful.......

Click here for Weekend sales. If you love Estate Sales, there are several this weekend. I just love them! You get to shop and not have to worry about our Florida heat. They are inside and the AC is running. Have fun and find something special!
Tell me about your favorite store. I'll add them to the store directory and hopefully visit them soon.
If you have some free time tomorrow visit Victoria's Antique Warehouse in Leesburg. They will receive a new shipment of merchandise tomorrow from France. Furniture and large pieces will be ready for sale at noon. Smaller pieces will be ready on Monday. They have also marked down many items on the showroom floor to make room for the new merchandise.
Have a look at my last visit to Victorias Antique Warehouse. You will love it!
WEEKEND SALES ARE HERE!
I posted a few sales for this weekend. Check them out. There are several church rummage sales and estate sales around town. Hope you find something great.
Update.... the store directory is growing daily. I can't believe how many stores are in Florida. Have a look at the directory to find a new store near you. If you know of one I missed send it to me. My hope is for Thrift Happy to be the largest online directory for Resale....and I am getting their one store at a time. Although you only see Florida on here now, I am in the works for all of the United State to be on Thrift Happy. So stay tuned for that....I am having so much fun!
Happy Thrifting today!
Thursday, June 10th is the Grand Opening for Hidden Treasures Antiques & Collectibles newest location. Located at 160 S Central Avenue in Oviedo. It should be a fun evening for shopping and socializing. I hope to see you there!
Travel along Orange Avenue in Orlando and you are certain to find something special. I posted last week about my visit to Art Angels Arts & Antique Mall, they are located on the south end of Orange Avenue. After leaving I headed back north on Orange to find a couple more stores.
First a huge thrift store called, Community Thrift Store located at 5456 South Orange Avenue. I stopped in here. They had a huge selection of clothing. This store reminded me of the salvation army. It's not a pretty, pretty store but worth the stop.
My next stop would be the Bargain House, located at 3301 S. Orange Ave. You can't miss this one. A bright little yellow house, packed full of antique furniture. The owner Jim was very nice and let me take some pictures.
His store is packed from floor to ceiling with furniture. There is also a garage in the back that is overflowing with antiques. I didn't go all through the garage....that will be on my next visit :-)
The piece below just arrived and was priced to sell. It is gorgeous with such detail. Love it!
After leaving The Bargain House. I drove for a while to the North end of Orange Ave. I came across Something Different, located at 1618 N. Orange Ave. This was such a fun store offering midcentury to modern furniture. So many things here from 1960's and 70's. The colors are fantastic. As soon as walked in, it was a flash back to my childhood.....(oops showing my age now) Well have a look!
There are many more stores along Orange Avenue that I didn't get to on this day. The rain was moving in fast on me which rushed my visits. I can't wait to go back and see what I find! If you need directions to any of these stores click on my Store Directory.
Thrift Happy continues to grow daily. All states are in the process of being added.
