I don't know what it is about old things. I just find them so interesting. From pieces of furniture, to vintage jewelry to old houses there is just something that catches my eye. Recently I stopped by Antiques & Uniques in Ocoee. They had an unusual selection of old medical/pharmacy items. Have a look. I thought what an odd lot of things to collect, but I know there is a collector out there that would love them. Perhaps a doctor, nurse or pharmacist?? This would be a great selection to post on Ebay. If your like me and enjoy vintage items, then Antiques & Uniques is the store for you. Click on their page above for directions.

I stopped by some of my favorite stores in Clermont. I just love going to the Clermont stores. With five stores on the same street I always find something special. I have updated their pages with new pictures from my visit. I hope you enjoy! Remember on Sundays from 9-2, Clermont has a Farmers Market on Montrose Street. All the stores are open too. It really makes for a great shopping day! Wow, it has been such a busy week. I have been travelling all over. I've been from Daytona to Clermont and all in between. I've gathered some new stores and visited some of my old favorites..... The Daytona trip turned out to be mostly vacation again. I did manage to visit one store on the way to the beach. We stopped off in Orange City. I visited a great little shop called Unique Treasures Resale. On this day both my mom and daughter were with me. So three generations were shopping together. My first thought was that this could be dangerous....but I can happily say we all had a wonderful time. We were amazed at how much this little shop had to offer. We each headed in a different direction throughout the store. My daughter was most interested in the named brand purses. My mom loved the home decor items. I gravitated towards the jewelry. If you are in the Orange City area I hope you will stop by Unique Treasures Resale. It was such a nice surprise. We all loved the store. It was packed with everything a girl could want.
Great article in the Orlando Sentinel about Not So Shabby!
Congrats on the article Trish and Laura.... I'm so happy the weekend is here. That means weekend sales, Yay! I've updated the weekend sales page. Have a look. I hope you find something special. I mostly have the Central Florida area. If you would like to see another area in Florida, let me know. I will be in the Daytona area again this weekend. I went last weekend but had camera issues. Therefore I just enjoyed the beach. Back to work this weekend, hopefully I will find great shops around town. I did visit a huge flea market last weekend. Which made me think that Thrift Happy needs a page dedicated to flea markets. Needless to say that has kept me busy all week. So enjoy the pictures and visit my new Flea Market Directory. I hope you enjoy the new Flea Market Directory.
If you have been to a great market send me the location..... Have a great weekend and hit the Weekend Sales. I went to the town of Webster yesterday. Every Monday they have their flea market. People from all over come to sell here. There are also several shops in town that are nice to see. My first stop was a store called Memory Lane. There is so much more to see at Memory Lane. Make sure you stop in while vistiing Webster. My next stop would be El Curiosities. It is located next to Memory Lane. They sell a huge amount of garden items. I only took a couple pictures at El Curiosities because I was in a hurry to get to the flea market. Next trip, I'll be sure to take more. Now on to the flea market..... This old house was on the way....I just love old houses. It was for sale and looked abandoned. I wanted to go peek inside the windows...But my son who was along for the trip, wouldn't let me :(
