I've been told by several people...that you just have to visit the French Nest. Oh ...how right they were. What a beautiful store! This is the view when I first entered... Look at the library card catalog and the old post office boxes. Imagine the decorating posibilities... A look to the left and I see this incredible organ.... My photo does not do it justice. It is so ornate and beautifully decorated. I love the blue chairs at the end of the bed. The french doors and shelves filled with sea shells create a vintage beachy backdrop...I just love it! If you are in the Orlando area I hope you will stop by the French Nest. Give yourself plenty of time to shop. This shop is packed with antiques and vintage finds from floor to ceiling. Every nook and crannie has something beautiful... The French Nest is spectacular!!! French Nest

Hello all, it's been a while since I've posted. Spring is almost here and I am so excited. That means many outdoor events and sales. I have to say this is my favorite time of year. I'll be at the Woman's Club in Winter Park, Florida this weekend. The club is having an Antique Show and Sale. It should be a great one. I can't wait to introduce you to a fantastic decorator and antique buyer, Toni Moody. She has such a wonderful eye for decorating. Most of the pictures in my banner above come from her beautiful work. Toni will be decorating the stage for the Women's Club....I can't wait to see what she comes up with. Stay tuned for many, many pictures. I was at Art Angels Arts & Antique Market this past weekend. They were having a yard sale for their vendors. What a great sale....have a look. The ladies of Art Angels enjoying the day.... This booth by Kathy & Sue was just fantasic. Have a closer look. I loved this picture so much I put it in my banner...so pretty! I love the way these ladies but together their booth. They dressed it from the ground up. It was just gorgeous!
You can read more about Sue and Kathy at Sue Bee and Butterflies. Thrift Happy would like to WELCOME you to the Tennessee Thrifting Journal! The Market is open Monday through Saturday from 12 noon to 5:00 PM, closed Wednesday and opened by chance on Sunday afternoons.
For more information about The Antique Market and the unique antique shopping experience this shop has to offer, please contact Angela Galen, Manager-Owner at 865-463-8699 The Covesville Store located in Central Virginia on Route 29 between Charlottesville & Lovingston. The building is a 100-year-old structure that was originally a Cider Company & Country Store. It's a large rambling building with double wraparound porches in a country setting. If the weather is nice, you'll generally find all kinds of antique & vintage furniture outside. The porche & inside are full of antiques, primitives & decorative accessories. Don't forget to ramble upstairs too where you'll find more antiques & household items. Be sure to keep an eye out for “red dots” on price tags. These items have been reduced to $1.00 each. If you can’t visit in person, shop their website at www.Covesvillestore.com. The whole idea behind The Covesville Store is high volume with huge loads always coming & going. You'll see low prices on items that span the whole spectrum from $1.00 to $2,000. While The Covesville Store is not a boutique where everything is polished & perfectly arranged, the experience is truly unique. From the moment you drive up you'll feel that vintage charm. From the huge porch filled with antiques, to the wooden floors that lead you throughout..... every nook and cranny filled with something from the past.... Oh I'm in heaven!!! I love this dresser... paint it white ... add some glass knobs, so Shabby Chic! The green side table. Simply perfect! The patina on the fireplace mantle is incredible.... Well this is The Covesville store....I told you, you would just love it!
I hope you can visit soon. Covesville Store 5930 Covesville Store Road Covesville, VA 22931 If you do tell the owners Kathy of Thrift Happy sent you.... and be sure to comment about your trip, here on Thrift Happy. May you find a new treasure today... You will love historic downtown Clermont located just a short distance from Orlando and the major attractions. I just love the small town feel of this place. If you are visiting the Central Florida areas be sure to put Clermont on your map. It is packed with charm, great people and wonderful stores. They are some of my favorites. The owners Trish and Laura put together a beautiful store. It is full of new items and gently used furniture and home decor. They are always coming up with some new way to repurpose and recycle. I've seen purses made from wool sweaters to her newest creation "Sock Fans".... They sold out at Christmas...but a new group of Sock Fans are back in time for Valentine's Day. I hope you enjoy Not So Shabby.
