Good morning everyone.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Did anyone get to the sales?  I spoke with MaryJo at  the Vintage View.  Her hubby went to the sale in Howey in the Hills....and it only had three sales...how disappointing.  It was supposed to be a townwide sale!  Maybe this crazy weather we've been having worried people...who knows. 

I went back to Clermont to The Vintage View and the Farmer's market on Sunday.  The weather was beautiful.  Both the store and market were so busy....It was nice seeing so many people out enjoying the day. 

The Vintage View has a huge selection of vintage and handmade linens.  The quality is fantastic.  For anyone that has a baby boy or needs a baby shower gift..... I saw some handmade lightweight baby blankets.

MaryJo had a wonderful selection of items outside at the Farmer's Market....I just loved the chairs!

Peggy's Antiques is located at Renninger's Antique Center in Mt. Dora.  When you pull into Renninger's there is a lot to see.  There are several buildings also a huge flea market outside.  The antique center is the building on the right.  Peggy's location is D19.

Good Morning .....I hope everyone had a great weekend.  It has taken forever to get my next post up.  I have been visiting some great places.  

On  Sunday, I headed out to Wildwood.  With the local Peddler magazine in hand and my son driving I was confident we would find our way.  I've been wanting to go to Traditions Antique Mall in Wildwood, for sometime now.  But it always seems I end up somewhere else.  Well Sunday would be no different..... 


Our first stop would be Mt Dora.  I just love this place.  We made a quick stop at the Antique Village Mall.  I found a few items for my miniature collection.    The owner gave me a good deal on the prices so that was wonderful. 

Then we headed over to a store by Renningers.  It was called 
" A Real Antique Store, by Mcnamara's Fine Antiques" I met the owner .  She was such a pleasant person.  I told her a little about my website and asked her if I could take some pictures for the magazine.  She was so nice to let me...So I hope you enjoy.....Her antiques are really fantastic.

This bedroom furniture was unbelievable.  It was gorgeous!

I loved this bed too...can you imagine this being in a guest room....

If you love antique furniture .... you'll be amazed by this store.  The store specializes in Fine Antiques made in America.  Many are from the 1920's and 30's.   They also restore antiques so if you find a thrifty find that needs a little help send it their way.

Good evening everyone.  Did anyone go thrifting today?  I went to a few garage sales, a church sale, the farmer's market and the Goodwill.  I found a few Banana Republic skirts and an Ann Taylor Loft shirt.  All for under four dollars each.  Not to bad for a morning out.  Clothes are not my usual thing to look for when thrifting, but I sure was happy to find these.

 I usually look for home decor when I go thrifting.  I love painted furniture and repurposed items.  Since I didn't find any today .... I did a little searching on the web....so here are some pictures I hope you enjoy!

Now how do you look at this and say I just have to have that. 
Well someone did and look what they did.

The sofa became a new piece of furniture with some unique upholstery. The upholstery was done using secondhand tea cloths and aprons.  The sofa was created by Stuart Parker and Paul Green for www.lifeissuite.co.uk 

If you're feeling kind of thrifty .... there are so many sales out this weekend.  Here are a few in my area....Check your local paper and Craigslist for your area.  If you live in Central Florida...don't forget Saturday's Farmer Market in Historic Downtown Winter Garden and while your there stop over at Preloved Affordables on Boyd ST tell the owner Kathy sent you!

Then on Sunday head over to Clermont for their Farmer's Market on Montrose St.  Visit the Vintage View for some great Antiques and Collectibles.  Don't forget to sign their book!

If you feel like some real thrifty finds the flea market on hwy 50 (at the fairgrounds) is always an adventure.  It's huge and packed with a wide assortment of items.  Plan on spending some time here....and were your tennis shoes...it can be a bit messy.

Good Morning, I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.  Here is a different kind of post for you ....This one is from Craigslist...I assume most of you have been on Craigslist... if you haven't ....jump on..... IT IS FANTASTIC ...but BEWARE it is addictive.

Have a look at this table.  The ad says it  was created with " ANTIQUE " " CHERRY " legs and a " ROSEWOOD " veneer top.

It is located in Geneva.  Sells for only $85.

Then for only $40, you can get ALL 4 OF THESE Cane seat dining chairs. 

The ad says they are made from Maple with a Mahogany veneer on the back. The seats are in great shape. There are some chips in the veneer. They will be sold at the Solivita Community Garage Sale on March 6 th.

Or perhap you prefer this style of chair. There are 4 chairs available for $100.

This entire set is just $170, located in Cocoa. 

This wonderful antique bed is for sale for $175.  It is a 3/4 bed and comes with a mattress.  The ad show two pictures, at present it is painted blue.  I bet it would be lovely stripped and refinished.

Now if you love that vintage look .... the next ad is just incredible.  It is a double bed, dresser and vanity for $250.  This ad comes from the Tampa area.  I love the vanity!

Good morning, I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I'm looking for your help today.  I don't have a route planned for this week.  Give me suggestions please.  Send me your favorite stores to check out.  I am planning on going to Traditions in Wildwood....so that is one...add to my list.

Oh I wanted to tell you all that I have been invited to go to Ocala on  a bus tour.  There are a group of stores that have a Spring Fling.  They book a bus and customers spend the day together visiting the stores.  That should be fun.
